How well would a hood from a 96-99modelyear Legacy L or Brighton fit in
place of the stock hood on a 98/99 Legacy GT?

I'm betting it would fit exactly. You want to get rid of the non-functioning
hood scoop right? I can't see any difference other than the cosmetic scoop.
