i'm trying too decide between the camry an avalon. we all know, camry is a
low maintance car normally. but the avalon, there's very few sold. an a
horriable resale car, which i don't resell. but all those bells an whisles
on it. is it a high maintance car like cadiallics are. any of ya ever own
one with 150,000 miles on it? plz tell me your expriences on high milage
avalons. there are terrific buys on them with 40k miles. same price at
that pt as a camry with same miles

I have a '95 Avalon with 139k miles.

Only problems on it have been with the power steering (I had a minor leak
which stopped two years ago after running Lucas stop-leak through it), two
power windows which sometimes stick closed in warm weather, and an antenna
mast which I replaced (easy DIY job). I've had no other problems.

Our '97 Avalon XLS with all the bells and whistles has around 110,000 miles.
We've replaced the front struts and strut bushings. Other than that,
routing maintenance.
