Default fuel tank problem - 09-18-2006 , 02:16 AM

I got some dirty gas in my Avalon gas tank. Is this tank siphon-able?
I can't seem to be able to siphon it out. Is there a safe and better
way of emptying the tank without taking the whole tank off?
Don

There is a drain with, I think a 3/4 or 1" square "socket" in it. Just
remove the drain and drain the tank.
You'll probably have to buy a tool to do this, unless you're a truck
mechanic and have a ratchet with the right size...

Before removing the drain bolt, make sure to check with a dealer to
see if there's a gasket for this bolt. If so, it'd be best to obtain
one before removing it.
