I believe some of the Celicas had the 22R. It's not just a truck engine. |

I don't know, why wouldn't they? Ask DaimlerChrysler why they put that big cast-iron V-10 truck motor in the Viper... ;-) And from further back in history, why would they put a 440 6-pack in a Dart? Viper has an ALUMINUM block V10. http://dodge.jbcarpages.com/Viper/2002/ "Even the engine block is a work of art. Its massively deep-skirted design, with six-bolt main bearings, seems clearly intended for racing, despite its prosaic origins. No need to rev the engine much to move a relatively light car. http://www.valiant.org/ -- - Philip @ Maximum Torque RPM it still was based on the Ram 2500 V-10, the bore stroke on them is the same. Back to the Toyota question... I believe some of the Celicas had the 22R. It's not just a truck engine. |
