they "discover" it.

Well, if you still have giganews, you should be able to re-add them just
as
you had them before.
Believe me, I tried. They're not showing up as even being available.
Which makes no sense to me. I have no idea how or why they
disappeared to begin with. There one night, gone the next day. Poof.

Google is the former Deja News (AKA Deja Snooze).

Yeah, I know.

I'll check into your situation and let you know what I find out. Sounds
like your server has dropped a lot of NGs. I might just be a technical
problem, though - have you tried support?

Parking tickets. I knew there was something evil about him.

Cathy,
When this happened to me it was because my router needed to be rebooted.
You might want to try turning off both your modem and the router if you
have one (for a good 30 seconds) and then turn them back on, modem first.
Then you can check your NG connect settings with your ISP next - sometimes
they change and they don't tell anyone (been there too).
Hope this might help,
Tomes

That is Hillary Inc doing it.

It isn't desperate if he committed a crime by not reporting it when he
took his bar exam.

......but of course Dims don't have to follow the law....

I still haven't forgot how the "misplaced" Rose Law Firm billing records
were found so many years after the fact on the White House coffee table.

That's what I initially thought - but Giganews is a major news server,
& I can't imagine them dropping a slew of ngs. OTOH, maybe since Time
Warner/RoadRunner has recently taken over Adelphia (my ISP), their own
news server is somehow involved even though I don't read ngs through
them?

I might just be a technical

I briefly tried looking for a way to contact Giganews, but didn't come
up w/anything. And haven't gotten around to calling my ISP/
RoadRunner.

I think I've done the first before - when once in a while, for no
apparent reason, there's no internet connection: turn off PC, unplug
modem for 30 seconds, plug it back in, turn PC back on. I don't know
where in the set-up the router is (forgive my lack of techiness) - is
that automatically adddressed wheh turning the PC on & off?

I agree that my ISP may've dropped a bunch of ngs, but would that
affect getting ngs via Giganews?

Cathy
