No. I have no clue why, but most (not all, a couple left) of my ngs
disappeared from my Giganews acct. all-of-a-sudden. Am posting
through Google, which is a PITA.

Cathy

Well, if you still have giganews, you should be able to re-add them
just as
you had them before.

Believe me, I tried. They're not showing up as even being available.
Which makes no sense to me. I have no idea how or why they
disappeared to begin with. There one night, gone the next day. Poof.

Cathy,
When this happened to me it was because my router needed to be rebooted.
You might want to try turning off both your modem and the router if you
have one (for a good 30 seconds) and then turn them back on, modem first.
Then you can check your NG connect settings with your ISP next - sometimes
they change and they don't tell anyone (been there too).
Hope this might help,
Thanks.

I think I've done the first before - when once in a while, for no
apparent reason, there's no internet connection: turn off PC, unplug
modem for 30 seconds, plug it back in, turn PC back on. I don't know
where in the set-up the router is (forgive my lack of techiness) - is
that automatically adddressed wheh turning the PC on & off?

I agree that my ISP may've dropped a bunch of ngs, but would that
affect getting ngs via Giganews?

Cathy

I don't think so, unless Adelphia bought Giganews. Try the solutions
suggested, and if those don't work, email me, and I'll get you going on
another server.

Natalie

yep, and I'll bet if they scoured his school pals, there'd be at least one
who can testify that he once picked his nose in class. Shocking!

That is Hillary Inc doing it.

It isn't desperate if he committed a crime by not reporting it when he
took his bar exam.

.....but of course Dims don't have to follow the law....

Then that's one thing they've learned from watching the Repuglicants, eh?

Odd that this post does not give me those > thingies on the stuff above,
wonder why that is?

Anyway, you only have a router if you have more than one computer coming
off of your modem. If you only have one computer then no router is there.
also what dbu said about rebuilding your NG list might help too. On the
Newsgroup list screen there should be a button that says 'reset list'. Do
that.
