They said we didn't have the will to carry out a war against them in particular, or terror in general. Turns out they are right. With Dems at the helm, we are just a bunch of pussies that do nothing more than cry when we get sand kicked into our face. It's so much fun to watch us cry, they keep kicking the sand and we keep doing nothing. The Aussies are just repeating what the terrorists said. (I'm not meaning to denegrate the Aussies at all, I'm just saying they are repeating that which has already been said.) Given the realities of time, the prophecies of terrorists have become true. I want a Dem to stand up and say, (paraphrasing here) enough of this shit, let's kick some sand-filled ass and then come home. That's a Dem I could stand behind. The Pelosi Dems are just a bunch of crying little kids running to mommy because they got a little dirty. Boo hoo. Crybabies. You're obviously an expert at military strategy in general, and Iraq in particular. What would you do differently right now? I'm not sure what I would do, but what I wouldn't do is tell the rat-bastard terrorists that I was going to bring my troops home. Unfortunately, the one thing that will defeat terrorists does not serve a purpose that is far more important to politicians like President Rove. Decades of work by police and spooks will unravel terrorists. It's worked before, and it will continue to work. But, because this type of behind the scenes "war" isn't exciting (or visible), it doesn't provide erections for reborn children like Scott. If there are no erections, attention is lost, along with future votes. War gives Scott erections. The ONLY thing that terrorists understand is terror greater than the terror they inflict. The problem with that statement is that it demands civilized society behave in a more brutal manner than the peopel that attack them, and this is opposite of what civilized society would prefer to behave. The problem with that is, terrorists will always win because there will be an element of society that says everybody has a nice streak that we can exploit to make them better people. I'm from the element of society that says that if the nice streak turns ugly, you've blown your chance to be nice, and the only thing left to do is exterminate you. Terrorists are a zit on the ass of humanity. One does not sit around and wait for a zit to go away, one squeezes the zit and drains it. On occasion, the zit will become enflamed, but one does not stop squeezing or allow it to become an infection. |

2) If terror should be crushed with more terror, what do you feel is the purpose of the intelligence agencies? To inflict said terror. They are not allowed to engage in covert operations |

What we do/did in Afghanistan and what we do/did in Iraq are separate issues. We felt/feel that Afghanistan is a government that can take care of itself, and we are no longer required to maintain the presence in that country that is needed in Iraq. OBL is not in Afghanistan, and he is not orchestrating the events unfolding there. He is in either Pakistan or Iran, where he has the support of the local tribes. These tribes say, "OBL who?" |
