And it wasn't until after Limbaugh brought up a Washington state

Mommies" that
CBS brought it up...WELL after!

These things only happen in districts where the parents are too busy

time to make education what they want it to be.

That's what you'd like to think anyway. It happens everywhere.

Hmmmm... not around here.

Cathy

You must be wrong. Rush Limbaugh told Hach it happens everywhere. Once
Rush's worshippers get their official kneepads, there can only be one
truth.

so there.

Keep gulping, slave.

Nah, I form my own opinions. Just like you do after listening to NPR and
reading Move On's most recent newsletter.

Actually, I never heard of Move On until I heard about it here, from one of
the musketeers.

It makes all the difference in the world.

I'm going with the odds. Rush Limbaugh is much less likely to get his
facts right than is a serious, experienced journalist. Limbaugh
couldn't even get right the facts about his own oxycontin use.

I haven't looked up the case, but I was wondering exactly what it was
that
Dad -did- when complaining, to get him arrested... (All one would have
to
do is write a request that one's child opt out of reading "x", "y" or "z"
book because of whatever reason, & AFAIK that is usually the end of the
story.)

Cathy

The Principal would not agree to the "opt out" for certain
classes/assignments, and the father said he wasn't leaving until she did,
As I recall, that wasn't what he wanted. I believe he expected to manage
the curriculum for the school.

Quote:
or until he had an appointment with the Superintendant.

So she had him arrested for trespassing.
This all probably started because the bozo didn't read the notes the kid
brought home from school. I can't say for sure that the school in question
does a good job of this but 80% of the phone calls and visits where my wife
works would be avoided if parents would just read the stuff the kids bring
home and/or open any mail from the school.

Of course, the broader question is, what's this bozo's real problem? If the
kid doesn't read about kids who have two mommies does that mean families
with two mommies don't exist?

Amazing, since you seem to believe everything they spew.

Now, let me pose this to you. Do you know why I started listening to
Limbaugh? Because he voiced MY opinions. Not the other way around.

That's a dangerous habit if it means you ignore new information from other
sources. People close to Bush say he mainly listens to people who agree with
him, a behavior totally inappropriate for someone in a position with that
much power.

Not really, you could say the same for the BBC or NPR. They have their
biases, often just as bead as Limbaugh's. Don't try to tell me otherwise;
I listen to them *ALL*.

Just remember what Limbaugh said about his purpose. You know what he said,
right?

Missed the part where I said I listen to NPR and the BBC?

I saw it, but you usually mention them in a demeaning way, because you were
told to say they were overly biased sources.

No. And that's not important.

What Limbaugh says about his purpose is not important? You might be shocked
to know what he said. It's ugly, and you would agree.

Who said that? They're ALL overly biased sources.
What's the right amount of bias, and specifically how and when have
NPR and BBC been biased?

Then why don't you just talk to yourself?

Who said that? They're ALL overly biased sources. But I know how to cut
through the BS, including Limbaugh and Beck.
And I go to strip clubs just for the high art of the performances and
ignore
the skanky portions of the acts. Yeah, right.
