Iraq. It is in the news everyday. They are the backers of the Sunni
insurgents and Iran is the backer of the Shia groups.
By the way, you remember Al-Qaeda, don't you? They are the terrorist
group responsible for many attacks against US interests abroad and in
the US. They gained prominence and chutzpah when the previous
president refused to stand up to them.

an explanation of what's meant in myriad history books when they refer to
the "special relationship" with the British.
