It's been reported on several MSM sources that the serial numbers were
filed down - killers don't do that, people that sell stolen guns and
criminals dealing in guns do that - So, it would appear that he
ILLEGALLY
obtained weapons.

Really? I read that the police found at least one gun purchase RECEIPT
in
his backpack. Or are criminal that sell guns giving out receipts??

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070417/..._tech_shooting

My understanding is that green card holders can't legally purchase guns,
but I could be wrong.

My information on the serial numbers can from CNN, Fox, CBS.

Maybe for some reason the guy filed off the serial numbers himself after he
bought them. They need to look for the smoking Dremel.

LOL.....

Nice to see your sense of humor....every once in awhile....

Jeesh! another fuckin right wing idiot. Who is this left calling for a

I was a legal resident - green card holder. Buying them from a legal
source or a criminal makes no difference, each is as easy.

I agree that gun control has no or little effect on the gun violence. I
must however point out to you that the most fervent gun control
advocates are on the Democrat side. Keep that in mind when you go to

This is true, but almost a non issue any more. Do you not believe in

little left of the NRA but right of most liberals. I'd rather see
existing laws enforced and penalties increased.

As I am sitting here, MSNBC is on in the background. What I just heard
reported: The student bought both his Glock and Walther last month in VA
and apparently filed the serial numbers off himself. He had no ID on him,
but he did have the gun shop business card. Those tidbits will hopefully
zip the lips of many rightards.

I could be considered a right-tard as I own several guns and teach
shooting sports to kids under 18.

The fact that a legal citizen bought guns legally and used them in a crime
has nothing to do with zipping our lipe.

What do you want to bet that even a full background check would have
cleared him for purchase.

What do you want to bet that he could easily have got guns from a
non-legal source?

What do you want to bet that he could have used a Car/SUV/Truck to kill as
many?

What do you want to bet that if Carry had been permitted on Campus, that
he would not have killed as many?

Not sure you can ever prevent someting like this, but the situation
was greatlt mishandled, once the shootings started. I don't want to
second guess the handling, maybe I don't know all the facts, but it is
unfathomable to me, in this day and age, that you can have a shooting
on campus, the shooter is still at large, and they didn't lock down
the campus! I wouldn't want to be the person in charge of campus
security, that's for sure.
