You're either joking or thinking of Reagan since it's well known that
the Bush administration spends far more money on polls than Clinton's
ever did and does everything according to how issues poll within his
far right political base.

Yeah, anything to take the focus off the current administration,
huh?

I think that ploy is very often used. And seen through; too
transparent.
Can someone who didn't like Clinton ever manage to cite any of his
successes? IOW, a factual viewpoint? Would be refreshing.

You just don't get it.
I get it, you just don't agree.

As far as clinton and the budget, had it were
Quote:
not for the Republican controlled congress clinton would have barely
escaped with his pants. So what's your answer to the terrorists, let
them keep on terrorizing us? Blow up some more of our airplanes, kill
more of our innocent citizens? Is that your solution? You are nuts.
Your memory is very short or maybe it's your attention span.
If one's going to wage a war against terrorism, how about targeting the real
perpetrators of 9-11 instead of Iraq? Whose leader & sons & cronies,
granted, are/were complete nut-cases, but who did not orchestrate 9-11. If
GWB wanted to invade Iraq, at least he could've been truthful about his
reasons for doing so, instead of feeding excuses to the public. OTOH, that
wouldn't have flown, would it, even amongst his supporters? And apparently,
boy oh boy, was he ever determined to invade Iraq! So... he was left with
the supposed WMD & strongly implicated direct ties w/Saddam re: 9-11 as
excuses instead.

Why don't you get your hands - & eyes - on a copy of the 9/11 Commission
report - it's only $10.00 or less; a good investment. ;-)

You're absolutley correct - turns out it's apparently a southern thing.
OTOH, Jimmy Carter (& Clinton) have full command of the English language -
they are both incredibly articulate. Whereas GWB... is not. To say the
very least.

When tied in with the rest of my sentence (below), from which you
conveniently separated it - IOW *in context*, the meaning becomes completely
different from what you're implying.

What plan isn't working.

What is YOUR plan, Sweetie?
Hint: lose the "sweetie" bit - just shows you up as anything but a
gentleman.

I am not the President & am not in the administration. I personally don't
have a plan - would take someone with far more intricate knowledge (of how
all of the factions involved operate & can be projected to operate in the
future given x, y, & z scenarios) than I have to come up w/ a viable one.
GWB was elected President (albeit under rather dubious circumstances); it's
his job to come up with a plan that actually works, not mine. This doesn't
prevent me - or anyone else - from being able to tell when we were fed a
load of bull - re: rationale for the Iraqi war, or have been floundering
terribly ever since Saddam's fall from power & at the same time managing to
escalate the threat of terrorism, while spending billions on said
floundering & escalation.

Yeah, stupidity. If something isn't working, an intelligent person doesn't
purposely continue on the same course.

That's not saying a lot in his favor, is it? However, Gore - I've always
liked; not completley sure re: Kerry. OTOH, I'd gladly take either one over
Bush.

It was the Republican controlled Congress. They passed a welfare reform
bill three times before Clinton finally signed the bill.

We must give Clinton his do, he did do a few good things. He allowed gays
in the military with the 'don't ask don't tell' rule. That was a good
thing, after all they can not ALL go into the Priesthood. Secondly he did
a big favor for every man in the country when he convinced woman that a blow
job was NOT sex. THANKS Bill. LOL

One good thing I can think of was Welfare Reform. I am not sure who
spearheaded that effort though.

You are the one that said it was a surplus.

I say it was NOT.

Take Social Security out of the general fund (like you Dims always say
you do)...put it in the famous idiot Gore's fictitious 'Lock Box' that
does not exist and there was NO surplus.
