"Mike Hunter" <mikehunt2 (AT) mailcity (DOT) com> wrote in message news:F-KdnUeMxKLBCmjYnZ2dnUVZ_uygnZ2d (AT) ptd (DOT) net... Even if one DID find the bones of Jesus the Nazarene what would be the big deal? Would you no longer believe that Jesus arose dead? Hardly,.if one is a Christen they know you have no need of your earthly body. mike Right, if one has delusional faith based beliefs requiring no basis in reality then you can believe anything you want. And of course delusional beliefs are the stock in trade of the right wing KKKristian KKKonservative KKKooks. Like, Bush is the best president ever, Iraq was responsible for 9/11, Iraq had WMDs, we just want to bring democracy to Iraq (honest, that's the only reason we're there), the "intelligent design theory" soon to be followed by the "flat earth theory", etc, etc, etc... |

"Jeff" <news (AT) googlemail (DOT) com> wrote in message news:NTmJh.2736$I56.2211 (AT) trnddc06 (DOT) .. This personal attack is totally unfounded. As you may know, the Democratic Party believes in civil rights. And one of the civil rights is freedom of religion. If any of us has religious beliefs that are different, that is perfectly fine. Mike's conclusions are logical. One doesn't need the physical remains of Christ to know he existed. The proof is in the Bible. If you believe in the Bible, fine. If not, fine. I don't think of this as an attack on Mike. It is an attack on free speech and freedom of worship everywhere. Oh, sorry I forgot. Only religions kooks are allowed to attack others. |

Religion has nothing to do with logic or reason. It's FAITH BASED! |
The proof is in the Bible? Where?????? Using a 2000+ y/o collection of myths, parables and fairy tales that have been edited and censored to suit the dogma and politics of the day is now considered infallible, irrefutable proof????? |
That's the sort of logic that shows how completely divorced from reality the religious are. |
Listen, people can believe whatever they want but to pretend religion has some basis in reality is laughable (and people who believe in reason have a right to laugh at it) and to use those beliefs as a pretext for oppression, hatred, murder and war is despicable. |

-- These photos are only of a very tiny fraction of the thousands of Iraqi Civilian Victims who have been terrorised, humiliated, injured, maimed and killed through British and American bombing of civilian areas in various cities of Iraq. Due to lack of security, independent reporters could not and still can not reach many areas to photograph and report the atrocities. Several independent reporters and journalists were deliberately bombed to prevent them reporting the atrocities. Please note that some of these pictures are not suitable for small children and those who have weak hearts. http://www.robert-fisk.com/iraqwarvictims_mar2003.htm -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com |
