hi yeah....hes a diesel mechanic and is a friend of my friend......hes been scratching his head why it wont start....hes convinced its an electrical fault....but it seems strange to have two faults at the same time????? i was wondering if the fuel pump going could have caused a relay or fuse to blow???? url:http://myreader.co.uk/msg/12813124.aspx http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/index.html. |

Only other thing I can think of is has the stop solenoid stuck on? i.e. when you turn the "ignition" key to the stop position there is normally a solenoid that causes the injector pump to go to the zero inject position in order to stop the engine. You can usually hear it release a few seconds after the engine stops in order to allow the next start to take place. If that sticks in the off position it'll crank until hell freezes over without result. Just a thought. Could be, but it *could* be anything. VCDS is the first step. |
