Default mk4 golf juddering on braking - 07-29-2009 , 05:57 PM

mk4 golf 1.6 auto T reg

When braking at about 50 there is an auwful but controllable judder on the
steering wheel and the car then pulls to the left ?

Booked in at the garage but curious what it is ? ...They are picking it up
on a trailer as they said its unsafe to drive.

Hopefully nothing too exxpensive or serious.

Possibly a seized caliper and warped disc?

Has it been like that since you changed them? Did you remember to tighten
all the bolts?

Its warped discs according to the garage and have now changed them all
round. Front and rears as he said they were all severly worn and whoever put
them new pads on should have done the discs and the pads were cheap rubbish
so its all new pads and discs all round at a cost of £460 inc the vat gulp.

£460 !! That is nothing when you set it against what could have happend. I
bet you would have been really annoyed if you had died simply because you
were too mean to shell out a few quid. Not to mention how annoyed others
might have been if you had involved them in some accident or another. Set
against this the money is nothing. If you want to drive a car then you have
to realise that you can't do it for free.
