Out of pin 1 of the electronic ignition module a green/black wire goes to terminal 1 on your coil. The other yellow wire on your coil goes to your ignition switch. |

Well apparently my timing is off, the engine has a pully from a 2L and mine is the 1.8. If the car still starts and runs for 10 seconds I really don't a pully has |

Well yes actually because the timing is completely off, you can't get the timing marks lined up with this pully. Actually No. |

He could set the timing using a timing light. Or by ear. Depends on where the timing mark is. If its on the crankshaft. And if the distributor will turn far enough. And screwing around with it. The right pulley would help. I don't think the pulley will stop it starting, but make it run bad, yes. Very rough could be timing. Plus the advance is disconnected. He should be able to turnthe distributor, it by hand while its ruing and see if there is an improvement or not. |

Timing of the crankshaft , cam , and intermediate shaft ( and thus the distributor ) |
