Default How do I change the "check engine light"? (VW Jetta 96) - 10-12-2006 , 09:07 AM

My VW Jetta (96) failed the inspection in NJ because "check engine
light" need to be replaced. Do I have to remove the dash board? Any
help would be greately appriciated.
Thank you

I'm not sure about your vehicle, but on some VWs the instrument cluster can
be removed without taking off the entire dash. Perhaps a Bentley service
manual would have the information.
