Default Golf MK5 Hesitation / Clutch issue? - 05-17-2007 , 05:28 AM

Hi all,

Noticed an intermittent whirling noise when in neutral and idle
running on my Golf '04 MK5 TDO 105bhp. There is also sometimes a
slight judder when this happens as if the revs were dropping (though
the revs do not drop).

Looking around on the net I found this quote on Honest Johns website
"On 1.9 TDI 105s both a clutch release bearing fault and a hesitation
on running fault with no cure available from VW at 10-10-06."

Pretty much hits tha nail on the head. Has anyone else experienced
this? and if so how did they get on with resolving it?

Matt

Try locating the source whirling. Does the noise change when you
push the clutch pedal?

Yes, the noise and hesitation goes when you engage the clutch or the
power.
