Default location of the temperature sending unit on 1999 VW Passat Sedan 6cyl 2.7 L - 11-05-2006 , 01:43 PM

Hello,

Does anyone know the location of the temperature sending unit (the
temperature gauge) of a 1999 VW Passat? I have a Sedan with a 6 cyl 2.7
L engine. Is it hard to replace?

Thanks,
M

2.7l can't help there, but for the USA 2.8l V6 it's on the rear of the
cylinder head right side.

Is it driver side or passenger side? Is it hard to replace? If you have
a picture of its location, that woyuld be great.

Thanks,
M
