Default Passat oil leak through turbo - 10-10-2006 , 08:45 AM

I have a 2001 VW Passatt 1.9TDI 130BHP that is leaking oil from the various
joints between the Turbo Charger and Intercooler.
It has always leaked oil from the joint above the Intercooler depositing oil
onto the inner wing, I am told this is common.
It has started to leak a fair amount of oil from the joint next to the Oil
Filter and below the Intercooler.
My concern is that I am told that there should not be any oil in this pipe
and therefore there must be a leak into it from another location. Having
looked at the Haynes manual, the only point that oil could enter the system,
is through the Turbo Oil lubrication Pipe.
Should I be worried about the oil leaking from this pipe or is this
considered normal?

I would appreciate any advice, you guys could give.

Many thanks
