Default running at an idle - 03-23-2007 , 01:25 PM






not to long ago i ended up launching my 1998 golf wolfsberg edition
into a puddle that was actually up to my shift knob ive draind the oil
changed the plugs but she wont rev higher than 3500 and will only run
at idle in gear can someone please tell me whats wrong with this thing
some one told me that ther is a graphite sensor at the bottem of the
distrubuter that probally got dezolved in the water but i dont think
so so leave your input

There is an impulse sender and an RPM sensor in that vehicle, both of
which could easily be contaminated. Have you checked them?
