Didn't a Chinese official say he wants to develop a "car culture" in China That's not going to work too well. Just keep in mind that if China used as much oil per capita as the United States, they would consume some 132% of the total oil available. |

Anyway, the market forces of commodity extinction will force us out of oil on its own. -- Yes, but in the meantime with China setting up oil agreements where ever possible. And sucking up every ton of steel they can get their hands on. And using the last hundred years of US history as an example . Think of the US in the 1950s with China's population and industrial might. Certainly everybody needs Chinese computer chips. What makes you think they wont walk right over to the middle east and get it. Like we do. |
