I discovered that my 1990 240 has a bent driver's side hood hinge,
causing the hood to be lifted up almost 1/2" and allowing rain and snow
to affect the electronics.

The "local" Volvo junkyard (about 50 miles away) has a variety of hinges
from 1983-1993 but none from 1990. Are these pretty much all the same
across the various years of 240s?

one the same color. Keep them clean and lubricated to prevent the bending.
