Where does the hydrogen come from? Last I checked, most of it was
generated by either cracking hydrocarbons, or using energy to separate
water by electrolysis, and you have to put more energy into that than
you get out by burning it.

"Hydrogen fuel cell technology is not new, it has been around for about 90
years, was actually used in World War II for tanks and *fighter engines*.

WW II fighter engines? Perhaps they are thinking of *Water Injection*.
