Default Intermittent Speedo -- 97 850 - 09-04-2008 , 02:53 AM

My 850 has taken to doing something new. I will be driving along and
all the speedometer functions will quit working. I get to my
destination and, upon restart, all is well. Part way through the drive
the speedo quits working.

Any idea where to look?

My friend had a similar problem.

Sounds quite logical. Will look there.

I kinda miss the old speedo cable days. <G>

Well, the ground wire is tight and ohms out so it's not that.

Guess we're on to the sender unit. Volvo is very proud of this unit
(surprise, surprise said Gomer).

We'll see.

I'll ask my friend what was the exact problem and maybe it will help you.
