Yes, CT-906, that's the radio I've got in my '90 740 too. Single in-dash CD
changer with controls for a 6 disc changer which I mounted in the trunk.
CT-906 uses the 850 / S70 / 960 type of radio connectors so you'll need to
get an adaptor cable from Volvo, but that's the only CD player radio I know
which will fit in the 740 dash.
