Hi there, after had the r134 A/C system in my car recharged (no leaks), I
think I have a vacuum leak somewhere. When the car is running on flat
terrain, or downhill, (manifold vacuum available), the cold air comes out
the right vents, but when the vehicle goes uphill, no air comes out of the
vents. I went to the engine compartment, and found off the manifold, a line
to a check valve, and then to the inside of the car through the firewall.
(probably to a vacuum reservoir and then to the solenoid valve assembly and
then to the actuators.

Any ideas as to how to troubleshoot this thing, or usual suspects? I have
a manual vacuum pump, but I found the vacuum lines are "sealed" ?, tried to
take one apart and would not budge.

Thanks for any info, my address is

Did you check the check valve? The vacuum can leak back into the engine
that way.

I tried to take it apart, but it seems welded. And the manifold tie, has a
threaded plug and the line appears to be glued, so, if I unscrew the plug,
may damage the vacuum line.

I read in the brickboard references to a common failure of the double acting
servo by the gas pedal, will check during the weekend.
