I've got a loose front mud guard on my 98 S70, and I could use some advice on repairing it. The plastic guard has torn away from two of the pop rivets that secure it. Is this something I can fix myself if I buy the right Volvo fasteners? |

Its up to you what you use, but I like to use speed nuts and metal self tapper (though it is superfluous) with a spring steel washer under the head, so I can remove it when ever with out having to drill. Upon closer inspection, it looks as though the lower mudguard rivets hold the S70 side trim on as well. What I don't understand is how to get the interior remnants of the rivets out if I drill them out. What will keep them from rattling inside the car?
